Hydraulic Questions / Wheel Loader Hydraulics
Why are loader hydraulics weak when the oil is hot?
Direct answer first, practical checks second, one related JIAJUE link below. Exact fitment must be confirmed by serial number, old part label and photos.
Hot oil becomes thinner, so worn pumps, valves or seals leak internally more easily. If a loader works better when cold but becomes weak after warming up, test hydraulic pressure and flow at working temperature before replacing the pump.
- Measure pressure cold and hot under the same load.
- Check oil level, filter, suction leak and cooler condition.
- Confirm pump model and shaft/port layout before ordering.
What causes one side of an excavator travel to be weak?
One-side weak travel can be caused by the travel motor, final drive, swivel joint, travel valve, pilot signal or pump flow imbalance. Because only one side is affected, do not blame the main pump before checking the travel circuit.
Why is only one excavator function slow?
If only one function is slow, the issue is often in that circuit: control valve spool, cylinder leakage, pilot pressure, relief valve or hose restriction. A main pump problem usually affects several functions at the same time.
What does main pump noise on an excavator usually mean?
Main pump noise can come from cavitation, suction leaks, low oil level, blocked filters, wrong oil, air in the system or internal pump wear. Stop and check oil supply conditions before running the machine for long periods.
Why does excavator hydraulic oil overheat?
Hydraulic oil overheating can be caused by a blocked cooler, low oil level, wrong oil viscosity, relief valve bypass, pump wear, internal leakage or excessive load. The cooler and relief settings should be checked before replacing major parts.
